Formula of the Month
Here the anionic surfactant is triethanolamine lauryl sulfate which has good solubility characteristics that provide for easy rinse off. The hydro- lysed vegetable protein derivative is substantive to the hair protein and so improves condition. Lactic acid ensures slight acidity to prevent irritancy to the skin.

The sodium chloride is dissolved in a small amount of the water. The remainder of the water is warmed to 60 “C and other ingredients, excluding the perfume and lactic acid, are stirred in until fully dissolved and then the sodium chloride solution is added and stirring continued as viscosity rises. Lactic acid is added whilst the blend is still warm and addition continued until the pH stays constant at 6.5 at near room temperature; the perfume is also added at this point.
The above formula is given just for the guidance, knowledge and to understand chemistry behind the formula to our curious young entrepreneur. The chemandtech authority is not responsible if it is not reproducible.
